Love mine for its reliability. I have had only one fail to fire (FTF) and that was on a Remington Golden Bullet. I have tried about every .22lr round I can find and that is the only problem ---ever. Guessing that I have put about 5,500 rounds down range. Mostly Federal bulk ammo but a little bit of everything I can find.

Yes, it is a ***** to take down and clean, but it is a .22 and does not need much cleaning.

Great gun and I REALLY love mine after I had the grip mod done by Kingshouse. Mine has the 4.5" barrel (is this still available) and it sets very nicely in my hand. With the plastic frame I think the 5.5" version might be a little muzzle heavy.

I have the 22/45 SS Target. I put in Sam's bushing to lose the mag safety, an extended mag release to accommodate Dominic's grips. I switch between various red dots and iron sights. At this point I am having more fun shooting steel with the iron sights. My ammo costs have risen dramatically! :-))

Well, 22/45 fell through.... But I am picking up a mkii target in a trade tonight, can't wait to try it out. Pretty sure the wife is getting a SR22 soon as well.

              Hi guys,

I've been wanting one badly, specially now that Xmas is around the corner, I'm hoping to get one for me as a gift (from me, to me...lol) Anyone knows of a decently priced - the model which has wood (removable) grips, and is CA legal?

              Thanks...

That model isn't on the roster and I doubt you'd be able to SSE it without paying for some actual gunsmithing(rather than just part swapping and basic work like most SSE).
