about the only change i'd like to do to my 10/22 is add a really good, 22 RF optic. right now i have a Simmons 4x32 and it works well but i'm saving the pesos for another Leupold RF special to install on it...

Aww..wait till you gotta buy a second one cause the first one is SO CUSTOM an you also really need just a plinking 10/22...mabye the m1 carbine conversion or the bull pup...ya were pretty sick man!!

Im like you I had one when I was a kid and loved it. I went to buy one recently and found out they destroyed my kid rifle by making everything out of plastic. I dont want no stinking plastic rifle. I want metal like when I was a kid. So I searched GB for an older model that was all metal. Man they were either selling for crazy high prices or the DH wouldnt ship to Cali. I tried to buy 3-4 rifles and got outbid everytime. I thought of buying the plastic rifle and swapping parts but then I would have a 600 dollar 10-22 that was no better than my kid rifle. Screw it!

I finally just gave up and bought an ALL METAL CZ 452 and scoped her up. Now Im shooting dime size groups at 100 yards in the wind and happy as a clam.

The CZ rocks and its so addictive to have the bullets go through the same hole at 100+ yards.

The plastic kept me from buying a new one as well until I found a used one with a metal trigger guard for $180 at my lgs. Right after buying it I went to my gunsmith and he had one for $170 but it was scratched up but I should have bought it as well.

I have heard great things about those CZ 452's, now you have me curious lol.
