I bought a rusty earlier in the year and it had no rust. Just a couple of small razor cuts on the stock. Must of the "rusties" just had excessive preservative that looked like rust. Of course the lot they are selling now may be rusty, who knows. Mine is a sub-moa shooter @ 50 yds.

Very few rusties seem to have had much rust. It was more like "If you bought the non-rusty and it has rust, send it back for an exchange. If you bought the rusty and got rust, tough luck."

These are incredible values. As has been said, the "rust" has almost always been a rust colored preservative, not actual rust. If you're looking to get into the world of target shooting, you're not going to do better than these guns for the money.

My 'rusty' arrived today and looks like new. Barely two specs of rust on the bolt. They are a great buy. 11 lbs of pure walnut and steel.

How does it shoot? I hear these are hit and miss on accuracy.

I have one its a lazer. Surf-n-shoot has one its a lazer, Izzy has one its a lazer. I have only heard of one or two where there were problems with accuracy.

Had one, sold it. The CZ is just as accurate. Not a rusty but a Kimber.

Just so you know I liked my Kimber so much I ordered another one that will be shipping next week. I plan to turn it into a beginner benchrest rifle.

Not bad for a first day out

Took the Kimber out for the first time this evening, with supplied iron sights, benched on sandbags. It was hard to see the targets in the dark.

Results at 25 yards with Wolf Match Target. 3 shot groups. These are 50 ft small bore targets, the black is 1.5" across. With a scope mounted these might be promising.

It seems like they took a number of years to sell the last batch.

Nice shooting. The 82G seems to love the Wolf MT and SK Std+ ammo. Here is a link to some parts you may want to consider getting: https://www.jnpgunsprings.com/index.php?cPath=32

The cocking screw will wear over time. The striker spring may have lost some tension with these rifles as most have been sitting in the box for nearly 20 years. If you go to the trouble of disassembling the bolt you might want to replace it.
