+1 I have the Mueller APT on my 10/22 and am very happy with it. Entire setup looks a lot like the rifle below, but I used LaRue hardware for mounting and also have the LaRue cheek rest.

You didn't say what you planed to do with it but whatever you're doing go with a quality scope. For a hunter/plinker I'd go with a Weaver RV7 2.5-7x28. It's compact and should look great on the Marin.
This should help you see where various scopes fall in the food chain.Last edited by sholling; 09-21-2012, 1:40 AM."Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." --FREDERIC BASTIAT--

dooodstevenn,
Most of my rimfire have either Bushnell or Tasco as they both well made scopes for rimfires. If I remember correctly and if I'm wrong please correct me but Bushnell now owns Taso and Simmons line of scopes.
I must admit I don't know anything about BSA but I too have heard their quality is spotty. Prsonally I just shoot paper for my fun but to use a bullet drop compensator takes all the fun out of a rifle designed for pleasure and plinking. Those scopes are purely for hunting and such. If you need to shorten the distance just get a variable power scope like a 3-9X or something like that. For that kind of power it perfect for my ageing eyes at 50 yards.

I've put a Simmons 6.5-20X on .22lr back in '86 for a silloutte gun. It's also a nice little squirrel rifle. If you want to spend more, you can go all the way up to a USO. It really depends on exactly what you, your rifle and your ammo are capable of and what you want your set up to do.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I like Weaver, Redfield, or Leupold.
On the cheaper end, Bushnell will get the job done.sigpic"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

Not of that quality at that price. You have to give up something to get a scope that good that cheap. You're getting fully multicoated Japanese lenses assembled in one of Japan's best scope fabs not cheap Chinese crap. Nikon makes a ProStaff rimfire scope with a BDC but it's a slightly lower grade scope for more money.
For a rimfire hunter/plinker you generally want speed on target over accuracy so you pick a fixed focus rimfire scope because you don't want to stop and fiddle with focus while dinner hops away. A rimfire scope is set to be parallax free at 50-60yds rather than the 100-120yds with a centerfire scope. For precision target shooting you'll want a more powerful scope with an adjustable objective or side focus."Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." --FREDERIC BASTIAT--
