If you shoot a duplex reticle scope typical distance from duplex (thick wire) to center is 4 moa, use the top duplex as a aiming point and you have 8 additional minutes of elevation.

I'm not familiar with the scope the OP is using but here's a video from YouTube of a .22 at 500 yards (it zooms out at the end of the video to show the distance) -

I've only shot my .22 out to 425 but it's not all that difficult:

      CZ 453 .22LR
Wolf Match Target ammo (40gr subsonic)
      25MOA rail
      Leupold 16x scope
      68MOA up at 425 yards

If it's calm, it's fairly easy to put all ten rounds on a 18" gong at 425 yards. People generally don't believe it until they try it. One guy walked up to me at the range yesterday afternoon and asked what I was shooting at. I told him the gong at 425 and he rolled his eyes. I invited him to sit down and give it a whirl. He then called his friends over and insisted they try it as he just could not believe how easy it was to hit the gong once everything was dialed in:

Well, I couldn't make it out last weekend. This weekend the range is taken over by the .22 silhouette match. They shoot targets out to 200 anyways so I'm thinking about giving it a try. Anyone have tips for me so I don't end up looking like a fool out there? This seems like a tough shoot having to go from 50 to 100 to 200. Do they let you re-zero in silhouette matches?
