    Umarex Colt 1911s

I am a huge 1911 fan, and I am really interested in the Umarex Colt 1911s in 22lr. I have had a hard time finding one in CA... Does anyone have any experience with these guns? Anyone.here have one or know where to get them? I really appreciate the guidance and advice I've gained on this site. Thanks in advance!

    Like this one:

Which variant were you looking for? the S70, the Rail gun, or the Gold Cup?

Yeah, that one. Preferably the rail gun, but I'd love to hear any news/reviews/availability about any of the variants.

I haven't read on these lately, but are they not made in the same German plant as the AR's (22) they make - which weren't given rave reviews on quality? I'd love to old a decent shooting old ACE but the first input I read about the Umarex 1911's wasn't all that great?

Compared to the GSG I would guess the Colt Gold Cup by Umarex/Walther would be as good if not better - I'm guessing its made in the same factory? At $400 ish its not bad, but its not CA rostered nor will it be with a threaded barrel. Plus it comes with a 12 rnd mag...isn't that still a no no too?

I am aware that it's not on the roster, which is why I am posting about where to get them SSE'd. There are 10 round magazines available- http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-MGUX2245721, which makes that a non-issue. I'm really trying to get my hands on one of these, so any info on where to get them would be awesome. thanks!

your best bet would be to get a GSG 1911, Ive got one and its runs great and most of the parts are interchangeable with 45 1911's, quality and finish on them are pretty good and a lot of places have them in stock, and they run about 350ish or so depending on where you get it at, if you want some more info shoot me a PM, Im also going to do a review of the GSG 1911, Sig Mosquito, and the S&W M&P 22 pistol,
"Be not that far from me, for trouble is near; haste Thee to help me. Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me."

Have you checked with the SSE dealer in the SSE sticky?

You have a couple of real good ones in your neighbourhood.
                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I dont know of any FFLs that do SSEs for 1911s in 22lr... Something about them all having fixed barrels. This is why I have asked if anyone knows one that does... if I did, I would have bought one by now! Haha

Matt - I know there is a member here that got a GSG 1911 befote they hit the roster.

Do a search for GSG threads and find the guy who has it. PM him to find out who did it for him.

DaveFJ was the first person I know I contacted about doing an SSE to get a GSG in the state of CA. He was able to SSE (IIRC) a GSG railed model.

                          I hope that helps.
