A bit off topic, but anyone have any G2 on the Nordic Uppers? Any good? I had settled on CMMG and probably will go that way when I purchase one , but ran across the Nordics while looking for shotgun parts. they _look_ sweet but as we all know about looks over function...Benefactor Life Member NRA, Life Member CRPA, CGN Contributor, US Army Veteran, Black Ribbon in Memoriam for the deceased 2nd Amendment

Nordic makes a good, dependable .22 upper. Nordic also makes the DPMS .22 upper.
The upper receiver is proprietary to the bolt. This means it will not fit a standard action block should you decide to chang hand guards ect. It also means the upper is just that. You can never use it for any other build should you choose.
Nordic is redesigning the upper at this point. I never like it when that happens. It was already reliable. What is changing? Will it be compatable parts wise with the older upper.
CMMG is made of standard AR parts. I can use all my AR tools on it.
I can rebarrel it for another caliber.
By the way, the collar is the part that fits onto the barrel extension, holds the bcg to the barrel via a spring and detent, and contains the feed ramp. That's why I recommend the stainless collar.
