If your into varmint shooting they're light fast and tear up meat upon impact due to the hollow point cavity. They're classified in the hyper-velocity catagory and come very close to the magnums in power but cost less than 22 magnums. Magnums cost twice as much per round as the high velocity rounds in comparison. This was before the 17HMR's came out.
