Ruger 10/22: Wood or Synthetic stock?

So as the poll states, wood or synthetic stock for a 10/22 Ruger 10/22. I have 2 long guns, both are black. Love em both and their color is exactly what I wanted for them. But Im kinda diggin' the 10/22 in wood. Would like to have a few all natural wood stocked rifles when everything is said and done. Maybe a 10/22 is the first?

Wood for stiffness. Seriously, if you use it for Appleseed you'll want the stiffness when using a sling. Plastic stocks can flex when used with a shooting sling throwing off your point of impact.

                ^this.

But lets be honest you will probably change the barrel to a bull barrel at some point and will have to get a new stock anyways...

Wood, its cheaper. Youll be changing out the barrel and the stock anyway, you might not know it yet, but itll happen, so dont spend money on the nicer OEM stuff thats gonna end up on the market place here in a few months anyway .

I went Polymer, if it ever HTF then the stock warping due to moisture would be my major concern...

I have two, both with walnut stocks.

My brain understands the consideration about synthetic stocks being better in bad weather and so on. But, I like the traditional look of a wood rifle.

10-22s are built for 12 year old folks. The length of pull is too short. With a wood stock one may add an extended recoil pad. Really helps. They don't work on the plastic stock.
