We will bare with you. Also thanks for organizing, monitoring and reporting on these matches. I appreciate it as I am sure others here do as well. A big round of applause for surfNshoot!

Definitely. I shot these before and only returned this month, but between work and the daughter and fly fishing, it's nice to have something to aim for every month...

        October Rimfire Match.

Thank you all for your patience this month. My wild weekends will slow down now that summer is gone. I'll be spending lots more time shooting and working on these matches now. Now for September's results!!!

        September Winners

25 yard Irons: USMCCHET with a cleaned target score of 110.

50 yard Irons: USMCCHET with a score of 68 and he only scored 6 shots and not 10. Someone should have stole that one from him!!!!

50 yard Scope: USMCCHET and SURFNSHOOT with a tie score of 96

100 yard Iron: No one posted a target for this.

100 yard Scope: TCWRITER and IZZY with a tie score of 58.

        Greate shooting guys!!! Congrats!!!

        And Finally!!!! Octobers Targets!!

        Print all targets at 100%

        25 yds irons:
        See attachment below.
Take 2 shots at each target. X=12 then 10,9,8
Take your bonus points for touching shots.

        50 Yards Scoped:
        See attachment below.
Take one shot at each target. break the small dot in the center for 12. then 10,9,8

        50 yards Irons
        See attachment below.
Take 5 shots on each target. 12pts for the X ring. Take your bonus points for touching shots.

        100 Yard Irons/scope:
Take 5 shots. X-ring 12 points rest scored at usuall. Take your bonus points for touching shots.
        See attachment below.

        BONUS POINTS
Here is how it will work. We shoot the targets as normal and add up the scores like normal. The twist is we shoot for groups as well. For example, if we are shooting 5 shots on each target. If none of the 5 bullet holes are touching you get no bonus points. If two are touching you get 2 bonus points. If three are touching you get 3 bonus points on up to 5 bonus points for each target.

        Rules:
        Shoot target from any position
        Add up your scores
Write score, CIRCLE YOUR SCORE, distance and whether shot scoped or irons on your target
        Post target for braggin rights!

5 shots on the 100yd irons/scope target? Congrats to the winners and hope we get a lot of shooters this month. I'm depressed, rain today and tomorrow and snow forecast for Thursday.

Is anyone interested in a Positional shooting target, standing, sitting, kneeling, prone?

I'm sorry if this has been posted in an obvious location I've simply overlooked... but where are these rimfire matches held?

This match is an online match. You choose the time and place you want to shoot. Just print the targets off. Head on down to your favorite shooting spot. Set the targets at the correct distances and have at it. Post your results in the thread for everyone to see. We just work off the honor system. Please let me know if you have any further questions. You may also PM me.

Cool deal... I may just have to give this a shot some time. I don't often get to go to the range, but I'll print off some targets and try it out. Here I was figuring you guys held an appleseed-esque meet and competed head-to-head. :P I need to put in an order for some good ammo, and the next range trip I take (likely in November) I'll bring half a dozen of the 50 yard scoped targets with me.

Edit: I didn't realize different targets were used for different months. How does one discern what will be used for the month to come? I've seen the threads regarding the results of the matches, but not one that is being actively participated in the month the shoot is taking place in. (it looks like I might have answered my own question.. the info goes into the previous month's shoot at the beginning of the month via post-edit, yes?)

Targets from this months thread will be shot and posted this month. Shoot as many as you like and post all or just the best. At the end of this month SurfNShoot will post the results/winners in a new thread titled "November Rimfire Match" and also the targets for the November match. The matches will definitely help your shooting at least it did mine. Hope you join us.

Sorry to hear that but hope you get some chance to get out and shoot. I went out today to shoot and found my National Forest Range is closed due to fire hazard. Bummer, now I gotta drive 60 miles one way to shoot.

^That is a big reason I don't get to shoot much, 75 miles each way. :/
