Sorry guys, been out of pocket for a couple days. Just got back. Actually in the process of getting on to my laptop to process, but it appears my hard drive is in need of replacement. Consistency check is at 35% complete, hopefully it will complete and be functional enough for me to post.
Hope to have an update within the hour.Comment

50 yd scoped: Cujo - 64
15 yd pistol OH - shakyshoot - 96
15 yd pistol BR - shakyshoot - 96
25 yd pistol OH - shakyshoot - 95
25 yd pistol BR - shakyshoot - 101
really no competition this month - only 2 people shot, and neither shot the same targets as others. hopefully 2015 will bring more activity. I know I'm as guilty of this as the rest of us as I haven't shot in several months.Comment

CGSSA January 2015 monthly rimfire match - results info in post 27
UPDATE: the powers that be at CGSSA have agreed to provide a shirt to the monthly winner again this year each month! Thanks guys!
I have been trying to figure out how to fairly determine an overall winner across classes, targets, and distances and the best way I can come up with is percentages. For instance, a 25 yd iron sights target with three shots each on 6 bulls is 180 points possible plus bonus. If your score is 150 including bonuses, then your percentage is 83.3%. This way, the shooters who can only shoot one distance / target will have an equal opportunity to win against someone who shoots all distances / targets.
PLEASE NOTE: while I encourage everyone to shoot as many times as they can in a month, and post improved targets when improvement is made, only the highest scoring target at each distance / position / gun type will be counted to determine percentages.Last edited by peterabbits; 02-01-2015, 12:14 PM.Comment

Targets
Pistol: we'll use the same targets for both offhand and benchrest shooting.
15 yd - use target found here. shoot each bull 5 times, score accordingly.
25 yd - use target found here. shoot bull 10 times, score accordingly. Center 1" ring is 10, then 9, then 8, etc.
Rifle:
25 yd iron sights: use target found here shoot each bull 3 times, score target accordingly.
50 yd iron sights: use target found here. shoot each bull 5 times, score accordingly.
100 yd irons: use target found here. shoot bull 10 times, score accordingly. center 1" ring is 10, then 9, then 8, etc.
50 yd scoped: use target found here. shoot each bull 3 times, score accordingly. center dot is 10, then 9, then 8, etc
100 yd scoped: use target found here. shoot bull 5 times, score accordingly. center white (including red dot) is 10, then red ring is 9, then 8, then 7, etc.Last edited by peterabbits; 01-03-2015, 10:13 AM.Comment

25yd Iron Sight target. Score-115, shot with Henry Frontier and SK Magazine ammo.

50yd Iron Sight target. Score-82, shot with Henry Frontier and SK Magazine ammo. The wind started gusting when shooting this target and couldn't quite figure out the offset to use so finally just shot at the center. This was the best of 4 targets.

Both targets shot from a benchrest position.Comment

Please read the first post in this thread. It explains the rules. Just download and print the targets, shoot them wherever you normally shoot. Score the targets (rules tell you how), take a picture of the shot targets and post back in this thread. Any more questions feel free to ask. Its a friendly match.Originally posted by dikonghow to participate in this competition ????Comment

25yd Irons (aperture sights), Score-128. Didn't quite outshoot USMCCHET but then this isn't the first time that's happened.
Just happy to be back shooting. Gotta love that upper right bullseye.

25yd Pistol, benchrest, Score-Correct to 92. Thanks to shakyshoot for catching my error.

Posting two 100yd Scoped Targets for comparison between .17HMR and .22WMR. Savage .17HMR won by a nose with a score of 100 while the Marlin .22MAG score was 99. The .17HMR did group better. Use the .17HMR for Score.
