I had that feeling last month, after studying targets I realized the misplaced shot was from the target above...completely missed the paper.

Now, where did I put my paper shredder...

                      Is that a scoring gauge?

Haven't been shooting the match lately, but a BIG thanks to Izzy for stepping up when dwh100 stepped out. Happy New Year, and good luck in the future. Also a big thanks to USMCCHET and peterrabbits for continuing the tradition. I look forward to some free time to get to the range and start shooting the matches again.

Thank you and yes it is. I liked Cujo's idea & ordered one of my own. Helps a lot with those close calls.

Hey guys, I think everyone did a great job on shooting the matches this year. I have seen a big improvement in everyone's shooting scores compared to the beginning of the year, even my own. I think that these matches are such a great tool to improve your own skills just in the fact that now when you go to the range you actually have a purpose and a goal to shoot your best. I would like to give all of you a round of applause, and thanks for letting me me be a part of the learning experience.

It has been a fun year. Seeing shooters different skill sets with all kinds of different firearms has been a real learning experience. Many thanks to those who take the time to share every month.

Getting to know my firearms and trying sooooo many types of ammo has been frustrating and fun at the same time. Every time I get close to my target after shooting is exciting, good or bad.

Everyone have a safe new year and a special thanks to Izzy, have fun traveling and don't forget to stop in and say hi if you ever come this way!

Thanks for the kind words. All firearms, pistol or rifle take time and effort to learn how to shoot well. One of the key things that I have found is to get very comfortable with a certain gun and stick with it, don't keep changing the gun thinking something always wrong with the gun, learn it's personality and what it takes to shoot well. I have been shooting my Browning Buckmark for about 25 years and have put 1000's of round through it, I know ever little quirk about it, and it does make a difference. Rifle on the other hand is a new chapter for me since this is my first year of ever shooting a rifle seriously. So I look forward to the new challenge. Keep up the good work.
