    Bersa Thunder 22lr pistol

A lot of people own the bersa thunder 380 but how many people own the bersa thunder 22lr?

Looks pretty promising. Is this legal in CA? Edit: They run around $300

    Thoughts?

Before i went to Gunworld to pick up the M&P22 pistol i looked at the bersa 22lr and was told by Turners and Gretas that it's not CA legal I would have liked a PPK clone in .22... If it looks cool just assume you can't own it in CA..

that doesn't make much sense. the 380 bersa thunder is ca legal but the 22lr isn't.... can someone explain what kind of logic this is? lol.

Ehh maybe i'll just get a NAA 22lr revolver or stainless ruger mark or 22/45....

Please stop confusing people and yourselves.

These guns are 100% legal to own and buy in CA.

They are however not on the roster.

There are a few ways you can get this in CA. You could buy one from someone that has one and they want to sell it; PPT's are exempt from the roster.

Or, you could be exempt from the roster or the gun itself could be in a roster exempt form.
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I shot a Bersa 22 a while back---pretty much like my old German Walther PP in 22lr, but at a fraction of the cost. Neat little pistol---the one I shot ran well and shot nicely.

I get to shoot one of these pretty regularly as my friend has one. Not on the roster but they do come up now and again. For a small gun, it is very accurate and reliable, though my buddy's does not like some ammo. It shot very well with the 525 round Blazer bulk but did not like the individual 50 round boxes of blazer for some reason. The only difference I could note was the bulk stuff's projectile was darker as if its coated.

Anyway, they are great little guns. Every time I shoot it, I hum the James Bond theme music, puts a smile on my face every time!

I've read/heard nothing but good things with the Bersas...

Their .22 looks GTG, as long as you feed it CCI....which is going to be the case with any semi .22

I'm researching semi-auto .22s options as well, and didn't know about this one....Thanks for the tip/post.

I have one. Love it. Best 22 semi auto i've owned. Then again i've only owned 3. Pretty reliable and accurate. Most reliable with anything CCI but not many problems with CCI Blazers and Remington Golden Bullets.
