He was 2" right of the bulls eye. That says something.

      I'm watching the Ruger Take-down

      I have the "original" take-down 22 the Browning SA-22

My question for you folks with the Ruger is the scope zero. On the SA-22 the scope mount goes on the forward section so it stays zeroed. For those of you who have installed a scope or other aftermarket sights is the rifle returning to zero? Some of the early SA-22s had dovetail mounts on the receiver but they wouldn't hold zero. Any problems so far?

Damn thats a good question. I have been looking at a 10/22. Im tired of spending $$ on big ammo for target plinking. And me thinks me shot up all of the mauser romanian spammcans in the western us.

took out my 10/22 again today and yes it holds a zero....i just shot it from the 25 yard mark and it it the same spot on my cross hairs....got a weaver 1-3 power ...9 inches in length and 8-9oz...fits in the bag like a glove w no clearance issues....just make sure when you reassamble to cycle the action a few time to make sure the barrel is seated... and i was watching on a website that recommended to take it 1-2 clicks past its recommended 3 to assure a secure fit....i did that and its holding its zero

Thanks to all for the input and info! My get out of jail date is 5/19......
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

scope holds zero good, although different ammo effects and you will have to re-sight in for different ammo. Check out gunblast.com for their review. Jeff Quin sold me and I was Drosing mine on the first release date. Most people are getting very good results and now that Ruger is having to rush these into quivering hands, there are some that are having issues that Ruger is taking care of. Best thing is to DROS the exact one you will be getting IMO.

don't forget that you can only use the modified magazines and they only hold 9 rounds.

Pick up is for tomorrow - I'm sooooo Jazzed!!! It doesn't hurt that 5k rounds is cheaper than 1k of 9mm.

Everyone I know who has one so far loves them and I've heard no complaints. I brought one in for stock. When I put it up for sale it moved faster than a fart in a hurricane.

Took mine to the range yesterday. At 50yds I finally got good grouping with the help of a friend who brought his spotting scope. Lots of fun and cheap to shoot.

                                Any advice on cleaning it?
