10/22 Takedown Scope that fits inside bag

I just put in jail a brand new 10/22 Takedown. I've been leaning towards a Nikon Proforce, but I've heard those do not fit inside the bag. I'm looking for something around $100 for my budget, any suggestions?

+1 the Weaver 4x28. It's a good rugged little scope that should last you a lifetime. This chart will show how it compares to other scopes.

I'd stay away from the cheap disposable scopes like BSA, NcStar, Barska, Konus, and Leapers. If you're buying a scope for a take-down rifle the last thing you want is a scope that fails the day that you really need it.

I have the Konus Compact 4x32 mounted on my 10/22 TD. It has great eye relief ( 4.5'' - not that it is needed, but even my 12 year old had no problem shooting it) and it's very compact, only 9 inches long! Glass is clear, and the adjustment clicks are positive. Held zero just fine. Took it out over the weekend and put 200+ rounds down range. Took it out of the bag several times while alternating between pistol and rifle.

Just ordered the Simmons Truplex .22 mag riflescope (3-9x32 matte), I’ll let you know how it fits.

Gotta keep the overall length to around 10 inches or less. The Simmons above probably will not fit in the bag correctly. Plenty of other threads out there already.

Sorry I ordered the Simmons Truplex .22 Mag Riflescope (4X32, Matte) not the 3-9x32

i'm putting a QD scope mount so i can take off the scope and put it in the extra pouch next to the barrel. (:

Not in your price range, but I found the Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5x 20mm scope fit perfectly, the new Leupold VX-3 scope is the same size but costs $400. I had the older Vari-X III on hand so just used it. Needed Power Custom's 10-22 base to properly fit the Burris Signature Z-Rings but it all lashed together. One thing about these Leupold scopes, they last forever - the Vari-X III was purchased in the 1980's, has served on three rifles including a .375 Magnum without a hitch. I have one older 3x that was purchased in the 1960's that works perfectly. They can be found used at good prices.

OP my scope just came in, and it fits in the bag and I can close it. Pics below.

I ended up getting the UTG 4x32 Compact CQB Scope with Large Field of View and Bright Vision and Quick Detach from amazon. Eye relief is good and I'm looking forward to taking it to the range. It does fit in the bag and even though the flap for the rifle doesn't close the case itself does.

The Nikon proforce is what I ended up with and its barely fits with the scope pulled back. As a precious user wrote, the flap doesnt close births bag zips shut fine.

I started using on micro dot (RDS) instead of a scope on my 10/22 and like it very much.

You might want to consider that option as well.

Any more suggestions for scopes that will fit in the bag?

I just picked up a 10/22 TD today and need me some optics!
