Default New 10rd Mags for .50 Beowulf and .458 SOCOM

It's Official! I'm a CalGuns vendor now

About the follower: It is made from a high impact resistant Fiber-Filled Polymer. It is very chemically resistant to just about all cleaning, solvents and lubrication solutions. It is red in color so it is easily distinguished from other followers. It has anti tilt features that allow for easy loading of the rounds into the magazine. It has functioning last round bolt hold open feature.

About the Magazine body: It is made from Aluminum with a Teflon coated anodized finish. The body is clearly marked "10 Round" along with the intended caliber and marked USA to indicate Made in USA! The feed lips are corrected to reliably feed the intended cartridges. Fully California Compliant.

Here are some pictures:

Here is a video showing why it works so well:

Pricing:
1 Magazine $39
3 Magazines $99

I have extra followers, so if you can upgrade your existing mag:
1 Follower $11
5 Followers $45
Prices includes shipping to the lower 48 States.

Currently I can only accept Cash or USPS Money Order. Just send me a PM.
Or if you are in the North County San Diego area (Vista), stop by and pick them up!

UPDATE ON PAYPAL. I did not realize that this is not allowed. I've had my paypal account for many many years, and I guess all the terms and conditions have changed enough that selling fully legal California compliant items is not allowed. Trying to resolve this now. CONTACT ME FOR PAYPAL INFO

In theory they would work for 450, but needs to be tested. I do not have access to a 450 bushy at this time. Any one in So-Cal local to me?

I will trade a mag for 10 rounds of 450 Bushmaster (reloads ok, or just brass with projectiles - ie dummy rounds) Send me a PM

Will this hold 30 rounds of 5.56 in place?

You can push 30 rounds of .223 in these. But as soon as you let go, they fly out. This is due to the follower design, as it does not stagger them correctly. Hence this is only for single stack ammunition.

From what I gather, the Pmags are slightly larger. Mine are standard GI mags, so there should not be any issue. I literally have not had a single complaint/issue but if it does not work/fit I will refund your money!

Ok, how did you get the .458 Socom guy to let you mark your magazines as .458 Socom? From everything I have heard, he defends that trademark vigorously. Are you paying him any fees to use this? Or are you just marking them as .458 Socom and hoping that he doesn't come after you? And are they actually 10 round socom magazines? Or again, is this just the markings you have put on them. Because you can often put 11 or 12 rounds in a standard 30 AR magazine. If you are selling them as 10 round magazines, and people can fit more than that in there, do you inherit the liability for any legal bills they incur if they get busted for having a <10 round magazine in a bullet buttoned gun?

gun toting monkeyboy, you have a bunch of good questions. I’ll try and answer them as best as I can.

First the trademark. So initially when I started this project a few years ago, the 458 SOCOM was not registered (this has now been done). I tried contacting the mfg’s of these weapons, but that fell on many deaf ears (I'm sure my emails were merrily directed to SPAM folders). If someone from those mfg’s would like to contact me, great. But in the mean time I will mark these as .458 CAL and .50 CAL from now on, and include a legal disclaimer with each mag.

Second, yes these are specifically designed and built as single stack magazines. They have been tested extensively for the .50 Beowulf and .458 SOCOM cartridges to only HOLD 10 ROUNDS. You may be able to hammer in the 11th round, but that would cause severe magazine deformation and probably make all the ammo unusable. Also, the straight stack follower, will not allow proper seating of the NATO 5.56mm or Remington .223 ammo. You can get them in there, but upon the slightest bump (ie, charging the weapon), there is a spray of bullets that exits the magazine. Tried it, and yes it is pretty cool to watch, not so cool in your gun.

Next, in California, it is LEGAL to OWN standard capacity magazines (ie anything over 10 rounds). Now, if you were to disassemble this magazine and install a standard follower, you would be able to convert it to a standard GI mag. BUT at this point, YOU would be considered the MANUFACTURER and hence you would have the legal trouble. That was my reasoning behind marking the bodies.

Last, putting a >10 round magazine in a BB locked gun is a felony charge, don’t be stupid, don’t do it. (Standard disclaimer - not specifically directed at you monkeyboy)

Final note, my source for the bodies is drying up and prices are going through the roof.

Cool, that is what I needed to know. And I understand about the difficulty in contacting the .458 Socom guy. I tried too, and couldn't get a response. but I have heard of too many people getting cease and desist letters. Just marking it .458 shouldn't be illegal.

Perhaps it could be as simple as naming your magazines as Item # 50BEO-10 or whatever. As long as you reference and sell only the Item # on your invoices, papal will no longer have any issues.

Man, the flu going around is nasty. Got me a nice bronchial infection and laid me up for several days. Haven't felt like that in many, many years! But I'm back up on my feet and ready to ship some more.

Yes, that means I do have 10 round Beowulf and SOCOM mags available!

Just send me a PM
