I REALLY like my Beeman Pellet rifle.
There is a difference in air-rifles, and pellets.
If I use my Beeman 1000FPS rifle with Crossman Premier hollow-point pellets, I can shoot straight through a 2 liter filled with water... lengthwise!
Pellet gun should be sufficient. 1000FPS is a joy to... a joy compared to a Daisy 800FPS, and only one barrel-break per pellet (no pumping, and pumping). $100-$150 is all you need, and should be legal in most backyards. (Chronograph only stated 850ishFPS with 7-10 grain pellets, but breaks sound barrier with 4-5 grain pellets.)
