NSS only has 2 items on the DOJ list:
Model Gun Type Barrel Length Caliber Exp Date
NAA-22LR / Stainless Steel Revolver 1.125" .22 LR 1/24/2013
NAA-22MS / Stainless Steel Revolver 1.125" .22 Magnum 1/24/2013
So don't hold your breath waiting for one.Comment

That's right and the NAA revolvers are not exempt from the roster because they aren't long enough.

I wonder if swapping the grips to the holster grip would give you enough length to be exempt witha a 3" barrel, http://northamericanarms.com/accesso...-cc/ghg-m.htmlJack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

How about a sheet metal inset under the grip which extends down and rearward? You know, like they do in England. It would be cheap and easy to make. Hell, we might even get NAA to install them at the factory. They've seemed open minded ans willing to help Californians in the past.I wonder if swapping the grips to the holster grip would give you enough length to be exempt witha a 3" barrel, http://northamericanarms.com/accesso...-cc/ghg-m.htmlNRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

Wow, I guess there aren't many of these things floating around. On a good note though, I stopped into a small gun shop about 40 miles from home. Old school shop full of old guns and some new ones.
They had a 3" Earl convertable. It was NIB, old stock with a real low serial number. The price was real good too. I picked it up today to bring home. This thing is nicer than I had anticipated. During the 10 day wait I found a guy on the NAA forum that hand makes leather holsters for the Earl. I ordered on from him and it fits perfect. Now I just need to get some range time on it.Comment

I got a good deal on a used .22WMR NAA Black Widow a couple of years ago. I bought it to go with the little NAA .22lr my son bought me. It's a lot of fun but the more I look at these the better I think the Earl is. I'd like to pick up an Earl and wouldn't mind giving the Black Widow up to do so.
Good luck on finding an Earl you can buy. You'll probably have a lot of fun with it.People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.
