    BX-25 laws

Hi all! I'm new here and did some searching, but didn't find anything specific for this question.

It's come to my attention that you can purchase these mags disassembled legally. What are the laws regarding buying one and putting it together? Is it legal to own? Legal to use? Freaking CA!

    Thanks!

Can't put it together unless you permenantly block it to 10 rds.

You can also put it together as a full capacity magazine if you are using it to rebuild a full capacity magazine you owned before Dec. 31 1999.

And use the google search feature, its so much better than the crappy forum one.

Bx25 is a ruger 10/22 magazine..you can buy them and build them into hicaps if they are going to repair your preban damaged hi-caps.

Or block them to 10rnders if you did not own any prebans.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure it was correct. Thanks all!

Just get a one or a few of these http://alangator.com/ They are sold at many places, prices vary. I think the best deal is where they are selling the tri-mag kit with the magazines and a pouch.

I have two for my 6 x 10 capacity mags and they work really well.

One important note on the legality: the number of "repaired" hi-cap mags cannot be larger the original number owned pre-ban. I know this was probably assumed, but I thought it was good to mention.

Just went to the site above but did not see the BX-25 listed. However, you can get BX-25 rebuild kits from 44mag
