do you want to spray and play or target shoot. i have a 22 tactical and it is fun .it will never be a tight shooter though. if you get too cute with the mods on a tactical 22 it is like putting a huge wing on the rear of a honda civic. it gets silly.

I have a tacticool 10/22 with the Tapco Stock and will put a aimpoint clone on it soon. I also have a second 10/22 in the safe that will become my precision 10/22. As a choice I would go tacticool first, but it is what you would like the most that would be you first choice.

Neither. I bought my 10/22 for inexpensive training, plinking and small game hunting. Give me a durable, reliable and "accurate for hunting" rifle in a lightweight package.

What is nice about the 10 / 22 is the ability to make the rifle any way you want. Though tacticool seems almost scream compensating. I guess I am just getting old.

Tacticool is a cheap wannabee fad. Precision is a forever subject and way of shooting.

For a while tacticool was all the junk that can be bolted onto a heavy barreled carbine rails and now seems to be light weight carbines.
