I purchsed one of these in blue when they first hit the market in the mid 90's. The hammer forged barrel was a big selling point. One ragged dime size hole from 50 yards with 10 shots regularly with CCI standard velocity ammo. I regret selling it when moving back to California. Wish I could find another from then. It seems the newer ones aren't as well made.

They are fun as hell to shoot. I put my GF behind one her first time ever shooting. She was poking holes in skeet at 100yrds she liked shooting after that. The only thing that bugged me was that dam mag release why have the not redesigned it yet?

I went and bought the timney and practically doubled the cost of the rifle. but its a sweet trigger and an upgraded mag release so i think it was worth it

I most shoot cheap ammo through it. What ammo have you guys been using for high accuracy?

The lack of a last shot hold open bugged me.

wolf match target. Have a little stockpile, I'm scared to see what WMT costs now.

I've had a blued 10/22T for about 15 years. I think I paid $250 for it new at Turners. Using RWS Match Rifle or Wolf Match Target it shoots 3/8 to 1/2 inch at 50 yards from a rest. My only complaint is that it is too darn heavy.

I just bought this a few weeks ago at the gun show, 45 for each box of MT, 60 for the ME if I recall correctly.

                          I bought a SS 10/22 Target a year ago.
The Barrel is bare stainless steel .920"

I replaced it with Boyd's Evolution stock and a lightweight (sleeved alum TS) barrel and really like it.

It was more accurate with the factory barrel, though.
