I bought the blued version, right when Wallyworld was giving up guns in Calif.Closeout $120.It prefers Fed Rimfire, the new stuff.I had a friend selling one like yours and no takers.I had seen it and asked about it.He was going to drop the price to stupid, because it shot bad.I should have taken the stupid price to the bank.Instead told him to try a few different kinds of ammo.He got into Midway and found out about Wolf match. He loves the gun now.I have a few of the 77-22s in other cals and they shoot with the heavy one as well.Actually the older 10-22s do pretty well with decent quality ammo.

That's a nice rifle. What did you pay for it if you don't mind?

I had one fore a while and it shot quite well. Its not as accurate as any of the aftermarket barrels I've had though. And actually most of the parts are the same except the barrel stock and hammer. They sure are great looking though, and yours is no exception

Barrel finish is actually silver paint instead of stainless steel.
Trigger group is same as the carbine models.
I've got one, it is more accurate when the barrel is replaced with better quality (i.e. Green Mountain) or re-chambered.

I'm happy with mine. I traded my very 1st rifle (10/22 Delux) I bought 30+ years ago for it. The newer plastic trigger housing may not be as nice as the old metal types, but it seems to work.

It's a standard 10/22 with a factory 920 barrel and a wide barrel channel to clear the barrel. This is basically the same rifle but a limited addition with a fancy stock. This one has been upgraded with a Volquartsen trigger assembly.

I agree 100%. If the barrel (actual stainless) wasn't so darn pretty I'd have replaced it with a Kidd years ago.

I had a blued one, and while it was the most accurate "out of the box" 10/22 I've ever shot, it still wasn't quite as good as a rebarreled 10/22, nor as accurate as the factory TC Benchmark so I sold it.

The older ones had polished stainless steel spiral hammer forged barrels that were pretty cool looking.
Also the trigger groups is the same with the exception of the hammer. The target models have about a 5lb trigger pull instead of the 7-9lb the carbines have.

I have one and it is dead on balls accurate. Anytime I show it to anyone they give me their list of mods they would do with it to make it more accurate, then I outshoot them with it. It's a toss up in accuracy between this, my russian biathlon and mossberg 44US.

I also use it with aperture sights and love it.

What are you using for the front sight? When I first bought my 10/22T I wanted to put aperture sights on it.

Receiver is nickel plated and also has a different part number.
Did you buy it new? I'd like to see some better pictures of the receiver as I have never seen a factory nickel plated receiver.
