    Speedloader for 1022

My thumb begins to get raw after loading my Ruger 1022 rotary mags. I have heard there are some speed loaders on the market. My question is with which ones do you have experience and what is that experience? Is it worth my $$ and will it save time. My main concern is to save the thumb!

(I also have loaded them left handed)

The Butler Creek Hot Lips loader works great for 10/22 mags. Makes loading my 25rd pre ban mags super fast.

Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discounts, gun care accessories and more

Another vote for hot lips. But if you get one please don't buy from cheaperthandirt. Buy from midwayusa or brownells. That way you don't give your money to a company that takes a steamy one on Californians every chance they get. That and customer service is superior with midway or brownells.

Do these work on the stock rotary mags? From the description it sounds like in-line mags only.

I'm able to load factory mags with the loader.

I have had excellent service from CTD. I have also purchased from Midway but not Brownells. Can you give a little more info why you don't like CTD?

Simple answer is CTD does not ship many CA approved items to CA out of fear and misunderstood info. In other words if it is questionable to them they do not ship to CA!

the buttler creek one is great... however it will not work (as designed) with the tri-mag coupler thing (the little flip down lever the holds the mag in place does not have room to flip so you have to hold the mag in place and to me it was a real PITA)
Boy the way Glen Miller played, songs that made the hit parade, guys like us we had it made, those were the days, and you know where you were then, girls were girls and men were men, mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again, didn't need no welfare states everybody pulled his weight, gee our old Lasalle ran great, those were the days!

                  who wants a fishtank?

Not trying to start an argument or anything but Cheaper than Dirt was one of the major companies that help knock down AB962 earlier this year. If you recall, AB962 was the bill to ban internet sales of ammo.

IMO even though there are things that they won't sell to CA because they helped the fight in that bill, I will buy from them.

maybe just buy a marlin mod 60, picked one up for 70 bucks in the classifieds. Tack driver that holds 18 rounds.

I have the butler creek loader works ok with rotory mags. Just have to rock the knob a litle bit to load the magazine. Or pickmup some 10 round stell lip mags or hot lip mags. These work even better.

They filed an amicus brief two months before it was shot down, bfd. Where were they when the suit was filed?

Still counting the profits from gouging shooters when BHO won his Nobel Peace Prize I imagine?

Cheaperthandirt.com has raised the prices on all AR parts and accessories over 30% across the board. Talk about price gouging!!! Most items can still be purchased from their manufacturers at non-gouge prices. Their ammo prices have become obscene as well... :disgusted:
