    CCI Tactical 22LR?

    Ok, mebbe I missed the memo, but my Spikes dedicated 22LR didn't like minimags at all so I thought I'd try these;

2x nose up FTF, a 100% dud and a FTE all within the first magazine.

Switched to Federal American Eagles and ran mag after mag. Anyone else have a similar experience?

MY CMMG dedicated .22lr upper loves the Federal Bulk. I get about two to three inch groups at 50 yards with 30 rounds. Doesn't choke up on it, it should expand well for hunting, and is as reliable as it gets.

Wow that Woof runs about $40 per brick. I've had success with Fed American Eagles ($19 per 500) and Winchester 555 ($20 per 500) so far. Thanks for the suggestions.

I've shot about 3 boxes of that CCI tactical ammo and have had zero problems with it.

              Tagged for historical value.

CCI mini mags not liked by your rifle? Must be the first time I ever heard that.

I've run those CCI tacticals through my Kuehl Precision/Ceiner dedicated upper, my walther P22, and my 92FS conversion with 100% reliability.

Not so fast there, Coyote... firearms in .22LR are widely known to have favorite flavors of ammo that they like, and it's not always the ones that are popular here or anyone else. As an example, my dedicated .22LR AR upper doesn't like Mini-Mags either - a lot of unburned powder spews out the ejection port compared to other LR ammo.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

On my last trip to the playa, the Cabela store had them on sale for $42 per brick. My only .22s for that trip were my Intertech and M100 (they ate them up iirc). Best I see online is midway for $46.99 currently.
WOLF Match Grade 22LR on sale at Midway
However, I'm sure shipping will probably drive that up to over $50 ymmv.

                      Right. I'm trolling.

I keep minimags on hand because my 22 Luger, Ruger 10/22, AK22, Calico M100 and Ciener AMT 1911 love them.

I also have 7-8 boxes of Federal American Eagle because my Spikes dedicated AR, GSG5 and Tech22 eat 'em up.

The reason the CCI Tactical caught my eye was because it'd be neat to find one brand of ammo that ALL my rimfires would digest.

runs like crap in my CMMG upper. i use bulk blazer and federal bulk with hardly any problems

runs great in 22LR pistols though

A troll is someone who posts nonsense to get a rise out of other forum members. They rarely stick around or offer any useful info. You'll run into way more of 'em in the Off Topic section.

Funny you should mention pistols and CMMG:

Just got back from another range session and I actually had this CCI Tactical go 43 out of 50 in my freshly polished Spikes upper. It did run very well out of my GSG5, Sig Mosquito, and a neighbor's 10/22 and S&W M&P 15/22.

PTA has a CMMG upper, but runs only Blazer through it.

Finished up just running 100 rnds Federal Bulk and 150 rnds American Eagle through the Spikes upper.
