Whats wrong with the pistol grip on the boyd's stock for hunting? I have a gigantic scope like your black rifle, and was considering a Green Mountain Stainless or blued fluted barrel.

Nothing at all, the hogue is a bit lighter, but Boyd's would also be great and would probably balance a gm barrel than the hogue would

man, that is an AWESOME build you put together. I just built my .22 on the same Boyd's Evolution stock - made myself a wannabe KIDD SuperGrade (only thing original left on the rifle is the Ruger receiver).

How does yours shoot?

Looks awesome!!! I did one last year with the evolution stock, a lightweight barrel, trigger and bolt job and it's the rifle I use when I want to shoot on the cheap for an afternoon. It's amazing how light it is compared to my other rifles, and the stock feels real comfortable. Great looking gun you built. If it shoots as good as it looks, it's a winner!!! Let us know.
