any semi-auto .17HMRs out there?

ya the above listed ones is probably it. the ammo tips cause issues and no one has found a cure for the problem yet. anyhow the cost of 50 17hmr's is the same as 22 mags. Ballistics on the 22 mags are .380 class with the same penetration and expansion.

You can rebarrel the 10-22 magnum to 17 HMR

Volquartzen and Alexander arms are your two choices. Every one else could not figure out to make a .17 run reliably as the pressure curve is sharp. Most manufactures (Remington & Ruger) bought the guns back from the customers. Ammo manufactures also requested that 17 hmr not be shot in these guns.

There's been a lot of problems as stated with the pressures of 17 hmr and semi autos. You should be able to find info on the issues online. There's been alot written about it. Even some of the aftermarket companies have discontinued making parts to convert from 22 magnum to 17. Just use caution. I would think if the large manufacturers discontinued and bought back 17 semi autos, there's a reason to stay away from them until someone comes up with a solid answer to the problem. Would love to have one myself, but i'll have to settle for my bolt gun for now.
