      I still own the Ruger 10-22 I was given on my 12th birthday(38 years ago).The barrel is kind of shot out,but I have never had to replace one part.Both of my daughters and 2 wives have used it.Plus many friends.I do not,or have not heard of any reliability issues that can beat that particular gun.I have 2 others now and a 10-22 mag model.The local gun club is has many 22 shooters that play Mr Potato Head with them.I have gone that route as well.My type of shooting/hunting these days I stay with the bone stock model.
