    Ithaca X5 Lightning

    I posted this in the C&R forum but I thought I would post it here too. I bought this Ithaca X5 yesterday (I live in Oregon, no waiting period). It was only $129, less than a Ruger 10/22.




    The Ithaca X5 Lightning was made from 1958 to 1964, so it squeaks in as a C&R. It came in both tube magazine and external magazine versions. The normal stock is plain walnut so this one was fitted with a beautiful flame-maple custom stock at some time. The stock is what sold me.
