Eldorado Rod and Gun club puts on a "Fun" defensive 3 gun match a couple 2 or 3 times a year. The have a monthy defensive pistol match on the 4th Saturday of the month. Contact John. His number is listed there under Defensive pistol. They allow 22LR in their 3 gun matches.
There is also North Valley Rimfire. This is a 2 gun (pistol & Rifle) speed steel match. Multiple stages but not much movement. Great fun and will speed up your gun handling skill and sight acquisition tecniques. Contact Ty for more information.
Norcal is larger than most other States. Do not know what area you are in. How far are you willing to travel?

Oakdale Sportman's Club has a USPSA type fun match on the 1st Sunday of every month, and rimfire is allowed. It's a lot of fun too.

                Mariposa isn't in socal

I shoot there at least once a month, small club, nice people.

OH, sorry you're going to have to travel to run & gun...Sacramento is about the same time/distance as Mariposa. Oakdale is a little closer.

I like the sound of this. Plus, it's great incentive to purchase a GSG 1911 .22.

Sorry came across wrong...I was just clarifying the general location. I assume I will have to travel at least a few hrs...North, South, East all the same....West not so much

Lake Chabot in Hayward allow .22 for their carbine run and gun. 10-50 yard shots with 30-50 rounds per evolution. We shoot steel to IPSC cardboard targets.
