Obviously, in any other state where hi-cap mags are legal, the Trimag would be considered a waste of money. But since we're in California, the Trimag is a great accessory, and a great value. I bought 2 of them- paid $11 each on eBay. It works as advertised, and keeps 30 rounds in one "unit" ready to go. And it is very fast to rotate and insert the next full mag. A no-brainer purchase.

Makes your 10/22 look like it had balls..........but in a good way, of course I'm going to order three trimags to have 90rds at the ready!

Another + from me for using Ruger mags connected with the TriMag device.

They work great, look good, are low-profile, super easy to use/assemble, and are reasonably priced.

You cannot go wrong with them.

i will use these even when i move out of state. as larger capacity mags stick out retardedly far and not to bipod friendly for prone squirrel killing. i like these quick, compact tand tight against the gun

I've had my 10-22 since 1976.(first gun) Have tried most of the magazines available.Nothing comes close to the factory 10 rounders for absolute reliability.I don't think the trimag is designed for California, but more to give you the use of three failsafe mags.

In my experience, a Butler Creek HOTLIPS that doesn't turn out to be a dud in the first 250 rounds is probably going to give you good service for at least 2500 (HARD use). At a guesstimate, I'd say one in a dozen might turn out to be flawed. The rest will rock and roll until you wear out the feed lips. Nothing, however, is more reliable than the factory 10 rd. mag. If the trimag is legal in your area, it is a certainly a viable option
9mm and 45acp are equally lousy. There's not a dime's worth of difference in REAL terminal ballistics. Get over it.

Its funny you say that, because I bought 3 Butler Creek Steel Lips, and 2 of them prevent the bolt on my 10/22 from fully closing forward if I stick them in the mag well too hard.

                  Anyone else have that problem?

The trimag is CA legal. You still have to eject one mag and then insert the other one.

Didn't mean to imply trimag wasn't legal here.Just meant that it wasn't designed to comply with Ca.'s silly rules.Think it's a great option.
