Savage MkII BV accuracy help?

I have a Savage MkII BV that I think could do better in the accuracy department. It's fairly good right now, in bone stock condition, but I think it could be better. It shoots expensive ammo way better than cheaper stuff, but I'm sure it could do better by the cheap stuff too. Especially since I can't afford to feed it $15/bx stuff regularly. I'm not a gunsmith, and I have no intention of pretending to be one and mess up any of my firearms. I would like some suggestions as to how I can make this rifle more accurate without spending what amounts to another rifle. Bedding? Is it worth it for this rifle? Torque specs? Any other knowledge or secrets anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I have a Nikon 6-18x40 Buckmasters target dot scope on it now which seems to work just fine for the type of shooting I do.

I have a Savage Mark II, started as a BTV, but I swapped the stock for a Boyd's Tacticool one, and I have had excellent results when shooting Wolf Match Target ammunition.

At 50 yards it shoots 1/2" 5-shot groups. At 100 yards it shoots about 1" groups when the wind is manageable.

If those results don't impress you, nevermind. But if that's good by your standards, try that Wolf Match Target ammo. It costs about $5 per box of 50. If you can't find it, SK Standard Plus is the exact same ammunition.

Dito the Wolf Match. It shoots 1/2" at 50 yds for me. Any other ammo is 2-3 bigger groups. It just hates cheap ammo.

Can't go wrong with a good bedding and a barrel free float. CZ .22 are better known for being able to shoot the Bulk ammo from WalMart while still achieving excellent grouping.
