Is the $220 price tag for the RR the average price around the Bay or is it discounted already?

$220 sounds like full retail. I have only seen them stocked at Bass Pro and everything there seems to be full retail.

Maybe the OP meant to compare the RR to a Ruger Single Six. That's way more apples to apples. It's also a great gun.

Fun shooter for me is a High Standard Sentenal Deluxe R-107 with a 4" barrel I also shoot a 100 series High Standard Sport King and a Pre Woodsman Woodsman circa 1928

All are great fun shooters depending what you like revolver or semi auto

If you just WANT a revolver, look for a used Ruger single six or a High standard. Purely looking for accuracy? The Buckmark and High Standard automatics can be had in the low price range and either is more accurate than a mosquito.

This question comes up over and over which is fine but really when all is said and done a gun only gets better when you use it. I have a 4 3/8 inch stainless single six, 22/45 and a Kimber 1911 rimfire target. All the guns are more than accurate within plinking distance with my kimber probably the best of the lot moreso because its just a fun light gun to shoot. I love my Single Six just because I like old school cowboy guns and though I dont shoot it often my 22/45 has been a reliable gun since the day I got it. My suggestion is go with what you will shoot often and can afford.

Had a Heritage RR and it was a great gun. No complaints. SA revolvers are super fun to plink. Recently, I've been messing around with the left thumb quick fire routine. It works great and I can dump the cylinder in seconds with decent groupings. As previsouly stated, just get what you're most comfortable with. What works for some does not work for all.
