Powder Valley for primers and powder. I buy 10K primers at a time and multiple 8lb jugs of powder. You have to buy a lot of stuff to absorb the hazardous material fee... That is for sure...

Bullets I get from a few places: Golden West Brass, Precision Delta

I can not get to .04/round with 9mm, but still much better than $12/box

has anyone tried the lighter spring that it comes with? I've heard that it's supposed to be less finicky with the lighter spring. anyone test this out?

The lighter spring is all I've ever used in both of my Mosquitos.

Never had a problem with either one of them.

Are those Gold Dots your are shooting in both videos? If so, I may have to grab a box and give them a shot in my Mosquito. Did you do any work to make it operate that smooth? Maybe just the feds I put through mine, who knows.

Yeah I was to shakey it was hot an we were tired.yes those were the gold dot's and I did work the chamber with wet an dry p600 it's super fine sand paper and polished the ramps.

If anyone is looking to get a steal on a mosquito I have one for sale with 1200 rounds of minimags for $260 conditionally.

No problems with my Mosquito. As others have stated, feed it only CCI mini mags. I believe SIG agrees with this as my Mosquito even came with a Rebate card worth $10 with purchase of (4) mini mag boxes. Since WalMart sells them for under $7/100rnds, this was a no brainer.

As others have stated, polish the feed ramp. Lots of tutorials regarding home gunsmithing the Mosquito on Youtube.com

Only drawback is the cost & size of extra magazines. My Mosquito came with a single 10-rnd mag. No one manufactures a higher capacity? And cost for that extra mag? $30 is you do some shopping around. Other than that, I like it

I had some bad luck with Remington Golden Bullets in my 10/22. Shot through a box of 550 as fast as I could (inbetween malfunctions). In the past I've shot them in other guns without problems. After the experience with my 10/22 I cursed them. I read that others had problems with them, and I think that it made me pay more attention to the failures that may have came with the .22lr territory. Then I read that some people were lucky with them in the Mosquito. I bit the bullet and purchased antoher box, and to my surprise they were excellent. I had one failure (round was stuck in top of mag).

It seems to me that the bullets are fairly soft. Whenever a round did not feed I inspected the bullet and found a flat spot.

When I tried the Golden Bullet I had already fired more than 500, so that may be a factor. Since the gun was new I have tried:

Federal Bulk: many failures
Win 555: all failure to eject, some didn't feed.
Win SuperX: all failure to eject, some didn't feed.
CCi minimag: hit or miss. They functioned better than others, but still had many FTF, FTE, etc. This was the bulk of what I was shooting, so "break-in" could have been a factor.
CCi Stingers: two FTE out of 100. I like these.
Golden Bullet (recent): one failure

I think that the bullet shape and the knurled/rought parts contributed to the feeding problems. The roughness where the bullet meets the case are absent or less aggressive on the CCI's and Golden bullets.

On a side-note, if you ever have a failure to fire/strike, try pushing forward on the slide on either side of the hammer and fire again. I've been having a lot of failure to fire. I'd pull the slide back and the bullet would either eject or stay in the chamber. I noticed that if i pushed the slide forward it would fire just fine. I think that the slide is not returning back to full battery. Recoil spring? Or that little silver block that the recoil spring rests in? Hmmm......

Another side not, I bit the bullet and purchased a few extra magazines, at about $30 each. If your Mosquito functions well it would be worth it to buy the mags (especially if it fires bulk Golden Bullets).

Whatever happens, don't give up entirely on certain brands of ammo if you try them early on. I tried different ammo right off the bat, and while my luck wasn't so good I figure that there is some reason to the "break-in" philosophy. I'm going to give the Federal and Winchester another go. when you say federal are you talking about the blue box 40 solids or the other one that is hollow point.the solid blue box federal shoot like cci in the mosquito they are awesome .The problem is i have trouble finding them.
