    Alexander Arms 17 HMR

I found this article on the Alexander arms 17 HMR AR-15 and I thought i would share it with you guys.

Apparently 17 HMR is somewhat reliable in an AR-15 platform.

Thanks for the link. I've had my eye on one since they came out. I just have a hard time justifying $700+ for a rimfire upper. If I hit the lottery it'll be my first purchase though.

maybe cmmg will come out with a cheaper version. But I just can't justify 17hmr, .22lr is cheap, 22mag with fmj takes small game without meat damage, and .223 will destroy varmint. 17hmr is in between 22 mag and 223, and for me doesn't justify the price. Cool toy though.

        I know what you mean.
I was going to get a bolt action in 17HMR until I saw how much the ammo was.
It's actually cheaper to shoot .223.

I had a infatuation with a stainless, laminate, thomb hole bolty untill I thought the dream through. But now I have a .22mag to think about.

Looked at them for a while and thought about it alot. Decided what I really want is an AR platform chambered in 22-250... Someday. But it still is kinda a cool idea, always interesting to see new ideas come around

I would not mind one but the rifle would be too heavy compared to my anshcutz. Carrying in the field for days on end I would prefer the bolt action. Plus I would run throgh 17 WAY to quick! This last trip I went throguh 1500 rnds of 17 in three days
