I really want one of these, but not if it's $600.

I'm going to start bugging the crew at Apex Tactical to see how hard it would be to come out with an upper.

Maybe Tactical Solutions has one in the pipeline already

Straight from S&W in an email. I'm not sure if the guy is misinformed, was thinking of the M&P15 pistol or what. At $600 I'm out, I'll pick up a AA kit, a 22/45, or wait for Tacsols new .22 kit, before I spend $600 on a .22, I'm hoping the price is in around $400.

I'd like to see Tacsol's out soon but they're lagging with just the G17 version, from there I hear they're going to do a G19 version and then the jump to the M&P. But I see it being a long wait, the G17 version was supposed to be out months ago and there is still nothing.

It is a completely different pistol styled like the M&P...it even has a hammer

From what I read on the M&P forum it is a Walther P22 in M&P clothing. This was confirmed by two others that saw it at SHOT. I was planning to get one until I read that. Now I'm just going to wait for a 22lr top end.

That's a lot of cash for a .22 pistol. I suppose if cash wasn't an issue I'd be down.

Looks pretty cool but no way does it look 600 bucks cool, not even close.

Once it is out, will have to definitely check it out. Perfect match for my 15-22 MOE.

Well I couldn't wait for this to come out. Plus with debatable pricing. I went with a $299 Mosquito @ Turners. Good luck with your wait. I'm glad mine is 10days

Mosquito blows. Umarex is a division of Walther that makes .22s, air pistols and the like.
They is no way it will be $600 -- it would be twice the price of all the other Umarex guns, and S&W, while dumb, is not STUPID.

There is a youtube video of a rep. from S&W at some gun show that says the MSRP will be about $379. This same price was also metioned on another video by a S&W rep. as well.

Wish someone would make a top end like advantage arms I think?

The people who do the glock .22 uppers? that way you can keep everything like normal on your pistol setup(if you had a stipled grip etc)
