marlin 60 lubing

After cleaning a Marlin 60, where should it be lubed? Which lubes do you use?

the manual says "The barrel, receiver and action are now ready for thorough cleaning. The action should be cleaned in solvent, dried, and oiled sparingly prior to reassembly."

i lightly lube all moving parts/contact points and wipe off extra oil.. whatever "gun oil" happens to be closes is what i use..

I just lightly lube the top and sides of the bolt. Too much lube and you get a lot of dirt and gunks up the action. I just use regular Hoppes lubricant. My favorite .22LR rifle, accurate out of the box.

+ 1. I use Tetra grease and just lightly lube the bottom edges and sides of the bolt.

I'm also using a bit of grease now. It stays in place so it seems like I use less, and it seems to be working so I will continue unless something changes my mind.

Thanks! Just got a Marlin 60 and I enjoyed plinking with it over the weekend.

Use oil/lube sparingly cuz the Marlin 60's gather allot of fouling inheritly.

I clean mine with Breakfree and leave it at that.

Touch of CLP here and there and its good to go for me. I've never used anything but liberal clp to clean it and some solvents here and there, but wipe it all back down and a dab of CLP gets it smooth and running again in all 3 marlins of mine.
