    Sig 522 Commando

Anyone know when these are coming out? Looking for a 522 and wondering if I should wait for these

    for those wondering:

JayG was the first person to publish a photo of the SIG SAUER 522 Commando, a soon-to-be-launch .22 LR rifle from SIG.

I think not CA compliant due to only being in the 25 round capacity initially. Once it comes out I think there's a few merchants out there willing to swap it for the 10 rnd. But yeah it's basically the same 522 variant with a fake can.

....... I forgot about that the can is detachable maybe? I guess you'd have to get someone to weld it too.

Why would you need to weld the can?
Only makes sense if the rifle would be an SBR otherwise. Contrary to SIG and what folks think, threaded barrels on rifles are 100% legal in Ca

Detachable fake supressor is completely legal as long as you meet the barrel length and overall length requirements.

I'm 100% sure its ok. Most of my rifles have threaded barrels. If you have a mag lock you can even have it on a pistol.

For some reason this forum seems to be always really behind on the laws...

oh well, I suppose I can always buy a fake can if I really wanted one and stick it on my 522 swat...... sounds like a good way to make it heavier...

almost every AR, AK, M1A, FAL, HK91 the list is endless....

why a big company like SIG cant figure this out for the CA market is beyond me. But hey, most of the FFLs and gun owners cant either.
