    Good Ruger MKIII Sights ?

I love my MKIII it's an accurate .22lr pistol. I can get a 10 shot group within 1'' @ 10 yards or closer but anything further my groupings start to open up. My problem is I have the standard sights on it and the black on black (rear/front) is hard to pick up and focus on. Especially with black or dark targets, I totally lose the sights. Could you guys recommend me some good sights for my MKIII that would help with this problem. Something simple that I could install myself and with a smaller front sight so that it doesn't cover my target at further distances. Thanks!

Just get a small red dot sight like this one: http://www.tactical-store.com/ts-nc-rd-dp.html

Depending on your model, the MKIII receiver should be pre-tapped for a weaver base.

I already have a tasco but i dont use it often because once I throw it on, it involves to challenge to hit whatever your aiming at & I get bored.

Just what I was looking for, thanks. Now my next step is to find them for a lower price.

I know what you mean. That's why I don't plan to scope my MkIII. Yet, I'm so badly nearsighted that I can't focus on the target and sights at the same time.

I did some googling and found that there are special shooting glasses that you can get that takes advantage of the same optical properties as a pinhole camera to allow both the sights and the target to come into focus. This guy has a guide for whipping up a pair on the cheap. I'm going to give it a try this weekend.

I bought a high visibility paint pen for sights at the gun shop and painted mine fluorescent red. Ended up doing it to all three of my handguns. Cheap and it works.

That's the sight that came with my Ruger.. I hate them! My eyes aren't what they used to be and it's hard to get the dot in the V. I'd prefer a square rear cutout and a white front sight.

If possible could you post a pic of your sights? I tried to do this with white out but failed and ended up just making a mess. Unlike most folks, I love my U notch glock sights and wish I could mimic them on the MKIII. I see that their is U indent on the rear sights but I couldn't figure out a way to get paint into such a small space.

I just paint the front sight blade. I've tried to do the rear sight but ended up removing it for the same reasons.
