    Bought a 10/22 Today

So, went to Turners to by the gun cleaning caddy, saw the special they were running on the 10/22 and decided to purchase one. Have a Savage 64, Remington 582 and a Henry lever action, so what's one more 22lr to the family. Besides, I've seen this:
Transform your Ruger 10/22 with the M1 Carbine Replica Stock. Tribute Version 2.0 includes two handguards.

and I like the looks of it, I might just give it a try. Now the wonderful 10 day wait.

Contrats on the new toy! The M1 Carbine conversion is OK for looks, but if you want an accurate rimfire target setup:

Free floated bull barrel (I'd forgo the barrel sights), decent scope with target turrets and match ammo.

Cool, have a Maverick 88 also, love that shotgun. Since you get your rifle first, let me know how you like it.

i suggest dremeling off that stupid problem with the bolt-hold open on your new 10/22's guys. (youtube has several DIYs) I think im going to go buy another one and do one like article the fourth's. Id want a nice laminate thumbhole stock, Power Custom internals, Tactical Innovations Bull B. & one of those lever style mag releases, Brownells even now makes their own copy of the release. Id make the new one super accurate match style .22 b/c my current one is tacticooled with an ATI foldable see thru scope mount for a big5 special 3x12 & all DIY to the stock internals. it really is the harley davidson of .22lr rifles, the after market is HUGE. welcome to the fun

if your wondering what im talking about for you newer folks just PM me & I'll fill you in to the fun one can have from a Ruger 10/22. Just do a google search, its just too much fun stuff
            I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

I`ve had my Ruger 10/22 for a few years now. It is accurate as hell. I have the wood stock for the finish but i`m starting to see a few of the tactical versions here I really like.

Interesting homemade rest you have there. What's the story on the shooting bench? Is it homemade also?

I'm no expert, but if dros'd them at the same time you should be able to pick them up together. Does the paperwork have the same date?

I highly recommend the auto bolt release mod.
the extended mag release..(I know it come with extended mag release...I mean the ones that wrap around the trigger guard. it is soooo much easier to use.) Oh and the trimag mag coupler is awesome!!!... especially at Calguner price
