Put one in DROS jail yesterday. I went with the SD version because I love the look of the handguard and barrel. It is $80 more, but still a great deal. Can't wait to go shoot it.

wait you put the SD on dros @ river city? I didn't see them when i put mine on.

I called River City on Friday and asked if they had the SD. They said they had them for $400. Headed out on Saturday to run some errands, including the trek out RCGE to get the SD. On a whim, I ran into the Big 5 near my house to see what they had, and they had the SD on sale for $400, too. Figure I'd save myself the 40 minutes each way (twice), and got it there instead.

Sale ends today at Big5 if anyone can still find one on the shelf. Picked up an SD yesterday. My buddy was able to order one from B5 in San Mateo for the sale price. Said they would have it on Thursday or Friday. Can't wait to pick mine up.

Big5 has these tactical rimfires (Colt, GSG, etc.) on sale at least once a month. 522 SD looks cool and just pure fun to shoot.

Just picked up my gsg at river city today. Great price and great shop. Taking her to the range Monday. Thanks to the OP for the heads up on the price.

Took it out today and put 500 rounds through it. Fired great with only one issue...a semi-ejection issue but this was at about 400 rnds into it with no lube or cleaning so i dont fault the rifle for this as its kinda what i was going for (to see how many i could put through it before a malfunction of any kind).

It was however a little off in the accuracy department. From a rest bench position it was firing a touch low and left. I tried using every rear sight adjustment but it didnt do anything. I put a huge hole at about the 7 oclock position so im going to look into changing out the front sight and making some adjustments here at home as well as getting a scope.

overall a great rifle and great price!!
