meaning this post should become a nice sticky for new 10/22 owners who end up asking "what can I do to make it better? theres just so much stuff what do I do?"

reason: OP your rifle rocks. the Americana colors make it really pop! every detail on your rifle was checked off. super nice gun. Love that you proved you can shoot better with the match stuff too.

    Nicely finished 10/22 - enjoy

when are you coming down to so cal so I can shoot her?
    I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

It reminds me taffy or those swirl lollipops. Glad it shoots well.

What do you guys think is the best grouping ammo @ 100 yards?
Im still somewhat new to the 10/22 game, but the first one I built (which is not near as sexy as yours) is putting 1-2 in groups at 100 yards with non-match grade ammo... I have been so impressed and had so much fun with it I am almost done building my second one... and no telling where this might end!
1-2 inch groups are all day possible, even without breaking the bank! Even tighter groups with the right shooter, right parts and the right ammo, and probably wouldnt even be that hard im guessing...

I shot that 10 shot group on post #26 @ 75 and a penny pretty much covers the cluster. As I mentioned on that post I ran out of time at the range that day so I never made it to 100 yards. Besides, I'm more likely not as good of a shooter as you are anyway so probably will not get as good of a group as you did with non-match ammo.

If you ever come up to Sacramento take your 10/22 with you and we can go plinking and maybe I can learn a thing or two from you.

Haysoosw Christo that's a sweet looking rig!

When you invest in some green tag, you may think that you are ready for the Olympics with the groups you can shoot with that Beautiful Rig.

Man......................................... He's got a beutiful rig. It'll shoot tiny little groups at 100 yds with the right ammo.

That's about all I wanted to pass on here.

Did you spell check me, too?

Even my CZ 452 would not shoot much better than this at 100 yards with with Federal bulk ammo.

i would say give it some time to break in. shooting federal/walmart bulk crap(every 5-6 ftf)i shoot sub 2" at 100yrds. with match ammo im in the 1" area easily. at 50yrd i can put a 25rnd mag throughthe same hole.
