The Hogue overmold rubber stocks are not stiff enough and will effect the barrel when you tighten up on the sling.

I had that problem but only because my stock is a two-piece stock and pulling on the forend caused the receiver to pop out of the stock. Bplvr went in and put a screw in my stock that summarily mounts into a hole at the back end of my receiver, effectively giving me two mounting mounts for my rifle
