    Best Bay Area Ruger Selection?

I am interested in purchasing a Ruger Mark III and 10-22 to do some target shooting at Coyote Point (San Mateo). I visited 3 gun stores this weekend and each hardly had any in stock.

I know they could order anything for me, but with so many different models I would like to see how each one feels. Or at least compare a couple different models side by side.

Any suggestions on a SF Bay Area store with a nice selection right now?

    Thanks.

You may want to try Target Masters in Milpitas. Lots of inventory of Ruger pistols.

If certainty of supply is most important then you're probably best off going to Guns Fishing & Stuff in Vacaville, Bass Pro is Manteca or Sportsmans Warehouse in Rocklin. They're large retailers, not small shops. Reeds in San "something" off 101 probably has them too. Of the local smaller places I've always hit SJGE, City Arms and Tabors first.

Thanks for the quick replies !!!

The three shops I have already visited are Tabors, Reeds, and Target masters. Not much in stock when i was there.

I drove right by City Arms today, but they are closed on Mondays. Might be out there again later this week.

Guns & Fishing looks like a good possibilty for Saturday. I am driving right by there on the way to Tahoe. This Saturday just happens to be "Ruger Day" at the store, so they will probably have a nice selection.

          Thanks again.

City Arms was where I purchased my MKIII678H. At the time, they had a few different models on display. I was at Guns/Fishing, last Wednesday, picking up a new gun. They had quite a few MKs upstairs on display, as well.

Try Gunvault in Mountain view. I was there 2 weeks ago and they had at least 3-4 different types of MK3.

              Good luck

Try City Arms in Pacifica. I was there yesterday and they had quite a selection of Ruger 22 cal pistols and rifles.

If you're driving to tahoe definitely visit River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento. Fruitridge exit (east) just off 99 south - about a 10 minute diversion from 80/50 to Tahoe.

Markley's in Watsonville had several types of 22/45s and Mk IIIs last week.

Turners in West Covina had several varieties yesterday.

I plan on shooting at paper mostly, at my local range. Then maybe some plinking on a friends private range in Nevada (maybe once a year). So all target, no hunting.

Also looking forward to doing one of the Aplleseed weekends with a 10/22.
