I'm a big fan of the m249, so seeing a .22 conversion amuses me to no end. I wish we could own the real thing here.

If only it wasn't so expensive, I'd buy it right away. I wonder if it would shoot accurately or if converting a Ruger 10/22 rifle to look like it would make it kind of off and just for the looks. Looks so epic though...

I thought I saw one for sell on calguns forum for $700? They basically take a AIRSOFT M249 gut it out and stick a Ruger 10/22 in it. At most worth $500 in my eyes

I've done a search last night and found the company that makes them. It's supposed to retail for about $650 with the add-ons so the price at Gunbroker is definitely off.

And yeah, it's made from converting fancy airsoft parts, which is probably why it's so expensive.
Some of the nicer airsoft guns are crazy expensive and some of the custom ones shoot harder than pellet guns, but I wonder how it takes shooting actual ammo on the long run, even if it's just .22.

The company is Tactical Image Guys.

They don't actually make the m249 body, they take an airsoft gun and gut it then make it fit around the 10/22 rifle, minus the stock that's removed.

I'm not sure what other products they make though.
