Beretta Neos

I finally got to shoot my new Neos today. And let me say one thing....this thing is awesome out of the box! I was shooting 25yrds 5" groups no problem. I had so much fun that a 100 box of minimags went way to fast. Im going back tomorrow with 500rnds and the wife. Ill take pictures this time of my targets and post them. Oh, I know 5" groups is not great, but I could hardly see the target! The sight picture took up the whole target. So for my first time I dont think it was to bad. And to be honest I was shooting 5" at 5, 7 and 10 yrds lol. But it was FUN!! Im hooked.
PS, no ftl, fte, ftf ect....flawless operation.

Make sure you check that one for recall if you have not done so already. Call beretta to make sure its not on the recall list. Oh and im glad you had fun.

The Noes is a sweet little pistol. Very under appreciated IMO. That's mine in my Sig. I'm about to send it in for the recall. You may want to look into a $20 red dot from walmart. I've had that one on mine for years and it works great.

Taking my NEOS and 10/22 to the range today and I've been looking for a Red dot for the NEOS. Looks like I'll be stopping by wally world. Thanks for the tip XD

my folks have one and its a blast to shoot! my only fault with it is the trigger reset isnt to crisp. other than that i cant load it fast enough. break down to clean is stupid easy too

I picked mine up from 10 day jail the other day. Taking it to the range this Sunday. The CGer I bought it from already installed a walther red dot so Its all ready to go. its a sweet little gun.

Was at Turners picking up my sigpro 2022 from the 10 day vacation and was asking the counter guy what he would recommend for my 13 y.o. daughter.

He said, "we have a neos u22 on sale for $219 till tomorrow"

Went ahead and put it on hold/deposit.

Hope I can avoid the whole recall thing.

The recall is relativly painless. They ship it out, fix it, and ship it back. I love my Neos. I've put too many rounds through her I've lost count and still flawless operation. Keep your Buckmarks I'll take my Neos.

BTW brianrodela that pink handgrip is cute. Maybe if I got that my wife would want to go shooting with me again.

(shameless plug here): Thunderbolt, I've got a set of pink grips if you'd like to buy them, they're brand new and were never used other than being the stock set from the factory.

XDrox is right on with the red dot, mine is a tack driver and I easily hit targets out to 100yards.

ETA:
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the recall will make the trigger quite a bit worse. My pre-recall Neos trigger breaks extremely crisply at a little over 3 lbs, while my friend's post-recall Neos has an almost 5 lbs trigger that is quite a bit grittier and doesn't break very crisply at all. If you want you Neos to be a range only gun, see if you can get a pre-recall firing pin, or just get a used pre-recall gun.

I bought one for my wife at Christmas and she never got around to shooting it. I had to send it back for the recall as soon as we found out. It's been with them for about 3 weeks and she can't wait any longer. She bugs me everyday to call the local shop we bought it from to ask if it's in. I hope it comes sooner than later so I can get her to the range & get her off my back!

I've been using mine for the local rimfire matches here and while red dots are allowed their use is "discouraged." This sucks because IMO the irons suck. Anyone else have a problem zero-ing them? Then again it's probably just me.

Its not you. The reason I stopped shooting my Neos very much was the sights. That front sight is sooooo wide. It is aggravating. It almost makes me want to use a red dot (bought a cheapo from Walmart) but a dot is overkill for plinking at 25-35 yds. I usually just shoot my Ruger or CZ now.

Beretta really needs to put out an upgraded sight kit.

i do ok with the stock sights, but if someone developed a fiber optic for the front i'd buy it yesterday...

i tried a red dot on mine; it's a bit much for the short range i'm shooting...maybe if i hunted with the 7.5" barrel it would be more appropriate...

I have a red dot on mine because my near vision is not what it used to be. It really makes it a lot more fun!
