    Rimfire matches ?

Do any ranges within 2 hours of Los Angeles hold any rimfire steel matches or ruger rimfire type matches? Im not looking for any hardcore race gun matches just something simple and fun that casual shooters attend. Im just looking have some fun with my Ruger 10/22 & Mark III and test my skills.

Corona Sportsmen's Club (in Lake Mathews area) hosts a rimfire match each month. It is a fun match. We shoot at paper, clays, steel plates etc. It really is very fun and geared towards newer shooters. Come on out and see it. You will need a 22 rifle and pistol. Don't worry if you don't have either though. We have plenty of members willing to share with their guests.

This is probably a stupid question to ask, but would they frown at me if I showed up with 20 round mags? Is it 10 round mags only?

Sorry I never did a match before, so I have no clue what's "kosher" and dont want to look like an idiot on my first visit.

Next rimfire match at the corona sportsmens club is on 2-12-11.

Bring your rifle and pistol, or use ours. Extended mags are good.

Dont forget to bring family, kids shoot free.

                Thanks corky

the corona sportsmans rimfire matches are great fun..

as far as i know all CSC matches have a 10 round limit just to keep the playing field level for those that are limited by the ban on standard capacity mags..
in other words feel free to show up with 20 rounders.. but dont get butthurt if they tell you to only load 10 rounds.. think of it this way.. mag changes are good training for when the zombies come...
Boy the way Glen Miller played, songs that made the hit parade, guys like us we had it made, those were the days, and you know where you were then, girls were girls and men were men, mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again, didn't need no welfare states everybody pulled his weight, gee our old Lasalle ran great, those were the days!
