Browning 1911 .22 to be released?

I'd rather have one of these for half the price, however not on the roster.

ATI has the GSG 1911 in the testing lab right now. The lab would not
give them an estimate as to when "testing" would be complete. Could
be 6 months. Could be a year. When they are done testing it shouldn't
be that long before it is on the market here. The Browning looks like
a sweet little pistol. I haven't heard anything about them trying to get
in on the DOJ list here though. Like others have said, it's priced pretty
high.

They have had a few catastrophic failures in the slides of the GSG 1911 due to the metal shattering. Hopefully, GSG is addressing the issue.
