I have a pile of old Ramline 30 rounders that I keep for principle, but don't use because they suck.

10 round factory rotary mags FTW!

Sadly this is true -- out of literally hundreds of 10-22 mags, it is only the factory ten rounders that have given consistent reliable performance. The old Butler creeks 25s and 30's, if you caught them an a roll, were fun...

For those in free states, the Butler Creek 25 rd steel lip magazines work pretty well. $29.99 at Cabelas. The "hot lips" 25 rd mags work well too, $19.99. The newer Ramline mags don't feed well.

My old Butler Creek Hot lips 25ers have worked perfectly for the 12 years I've had them. Don't know if rebuild parts are available for them, but I'll have to look into it.

I have several of the Ramline 50 rounders. I had pretty good luck with them back in the day (as long as the gun was clean), now they dont seem to work as well. I found that how they are loaded is key to getting any kind of reliable feeding out of them. When loaded with an auto loading device, the bullets get jammed up and don't move corectly, but if I hand load them 1 at a time, I have better luck. SOmetimes I can still even empty the whole mag as fast as I can pull the trigger. sometimes...
