Removing S&W MP15-22 barrel from upper part

I have been searching on the Internet for how to remove the barrel from the action on my MP15-22. Please someone helps me on that....


Which way you guys think better
sending to mod for threading for flasher or buying shround ?

You need to buy a special barrel wrench to remove the castle nut at the base of the barrel inside the foregrip. If you go to AR15barrels.com he will thread your barrel for $30 bucks. Shrouds with setscrews suck. If you go to smith-wessonforum.com and go to the 15-22 classified section there is a guy named shooby that sells quality barrel wrenches. Thats where I got mine.

Shooboy over at the S&W forums sells his ShooWrench for your need. It works great. I have one for my 15-22. I believe that Brownells recently started to distribute his barrel wrench.
