Henry .22 lever action

I have the youth model. Great whipgun in the Jeep and offroad golfcart w/ 33' OAL (on my private acreage). As said, very accurate. Both bbl bands are plastic. The receiver is alloy and thus painted black. I modified the rear sight to be screw-adjustable as none of the course ramps suited my needs. I usually use the iron sights but also mount a nice/cheap Leapers 4x30 compact scope for longer distance as my eyes are getting old. That short scope looks perfect on that little gun.
On a related note: I am extremely disappointed that Henry discontinued the cheap youth model in their pump action line.

I've had one for at least 10 years, basic model. It competes quite well for range time with Marlin and Ruger semi-autos.

I love mine, nothing like shooting a lever action. Good quality and just plain fun to shoot, enjoy. Everyone will want to shoot it.I've had no problems with the factory sights.

I love my large loop carbine, outstanding gun. Smoothest lever out of the box I have ever had. All American parts, all made in America. Quality is great, but if something goes wrong the customer service is exceptional. I have emailed them a number of times, the President himself responds, and quickly too. The barrel bands are indeed plastic, if you want metal ones they are cheap and easy to put on. I figure if mine ever break I will put the metal ones on...and have been figuring that for a lot of years now.

I bought a youth model a few years ago for my oldest son, and it's worked flawlessly every time.

We had it down at Rainbow one time and there was another gentleman on the rifle range with a non-youth model, who was having some sort of ejection issue. From the way my son was eying it, he generously offered to let my son fire a few rounds. He emptied the tube without nary a hitch, and I suspect that the other guy was being a bit too gentle with it when operating the lever.
